My journey with Ingazi started in October 2025, at a time when I was becoming increasingly interested in Artificial Intelligence.
I kept hearing people talk about AI and how it was changing the way we learn, work, and solve problems. I wanted to understand more about it, but I was not sure where to start or where I could find learning opportunities that were accessible to me.
One of my friends introduced me to Ingazi and told me about the learning opportunities available on the platform, including courses related to AI and other skills that young people can develop. I became interested and decided to explore the platform for myself.
What first attracted me to Ingazi was the opportunity to learn new skills. But as I learned more about the platform, I also started seeing something bigger: the possibility of helping other young people discover opportunities that they might not know about.
Why I Became an Ingazi Youth Ambassador
I decided to apply to become an Ingazi Youth Ambassador because I wanted more young people to know about Ingazi and use the opportunities available to them.
I also saw the ambassador role as an opportunity for my own professional development. Like many young people, I am interested in making money,building experience, developing my skills, and connecting with opportunities such as internships and jobs.
But beyond my personal goals, I wanted to be someone who could help another young person take their first step.
Sometimes the biggest challenge is not that an opportunity does not exist. It is that someone does not know where to find it, how to register, or what to do next.
That is where I believe youth ambassadors can make a difference.
What I Do as an Ambassador
Today, I help young people discover and use Ingazi through mobilization and one-on-one guidance.
I help people understand what Ingazi offers, register on the platform, discover courses, and get started with their learning journey. When someone has difficulty completing a course or navigating the platform, I help them understand the next steps.
I also introduce young people to the Career Hub, where they can explore available opportunities such as internships and jobs.
One thing I have learned through this experience is that simply telling someone about an opportunity is sometimes not enough. People may need someone to guide them through the process, answer their questions, and encourage them when they get stuck.
What This Journey Has Taught Me
Being an Ingazi Youth Ambassador has helped me understand that youth empowerment is not only about creating opportunities. It is also about making sure young people know that those opportunities exist and helping them access them.
Every person I guide reminds me that a small action can sometimes make a meaningful difference.
Someone who did not know where to start can discover a course. Someone looking for work can learn how to use the Career Hub. Someone who had never considered developing a particular skill can find a new area of interest.
These experiences have also helped me improve my communication, leadership, mobilization, and digital skills.
Looking Ahead
My journey with Ingazi is still continuing.
I want to reach more young people, especially those who may not yet know about the learning and career opportunities available to them. I also want to continue improving my own skills while helping others develop theirs.
For me, being an Ingazi Youth Ambassador is not simply about telling people to join a platform. It is about helping young people move from knowing about an opportunity to actually taking action.
My journey began when I was simply looking for a way to learn more about AI.
Today, I am helping other young people discover opportunities too.
And I believe that sometimes, one person's introduction to an opportunity can become the beginning of a completely different journey.
